RESULTS OF WHIST.

On Monday night last the 24th, we held the last of our Whists for this season. We had a nice crowd of 8 tables which was grand. The following is the full list of winners:

Top Score:   Margaret Fox.
1st Lady:   Maura Smyth (kilnaleck).
2nd Lady:   Mary Carolan.
3rd Lady:   Mary McCormack.
1st Gent:   Michael Lennon,
2ns Gent:   Kit Nugent.
3rd Gent:   Peter Gilsenan.
Highest Half (lady):   Ursula King, Sheila Robinson.
Highest Half (gent):   Ena Clinton.
Lowest Score:   Maura Carty.
Sitter:   Vera Leahy, Carmel Doherty, Rita Gaffney.
RAFFLE:   Sheila Robinson, Willie Murtagh,  Kit Lee, R. Gaffney.

Thanks to Kathleen, Mary & Ena who ran the whists over the winter months and thanks to our faithful players who support us all the time. We are taking a break now until September.

JACK McCORMACK MEMORIAL TROPHY (aka Westmeath Classic).

The above competition was held on Sunday last the 23rd March in The Lawn, Kilbeggan. There was a great turn out at same. Collinstown had two winners. Stephen Ruane won the Intermediate section and David Penrose won the Junior section. Congtatulations to all concerned in the smooth running of this great competition and thanks to the McCormack family who as usual supplied all the prizes.

SEAN COYNE MEMORIAL TROPHY.

We held the first leg of the above competition on Saturday last in Collinstown. There were nearly 40 players in attendance, 14 from Kells & the remainder from Collinstown. Conditions were quite good and the course was in great nick. I dont know what the position is with regards to scores going into the 2nd leg which will be held in Kells on Sunday 13th April. Thanks to the Ladies who as usual had a lovely and welcoming spread for afterwards.

MEETING.

Our monthly meeting will take place on Monday 7th April at 7. 45p.m.

INTER COUNTY TEAMS.

Please note that the closing date for entry for above is Tue. 4th April.
