PRO’s Weekly Report – 24th February 2014
RESULTS OF WHIST.
On Mon night last the 17th we held our monthly Whist. We had 7 tables which was great considering the bad night it was.
TOP SCORE: (tie) Kit Nugent & Willie Murtagh.
2nd Gent: Pat Smyth.
1st Lady: (tie) Eva Mara, Mary Carolan & Mary McCormack.
Highest half (lady): Maura Carry.
Highest half (gent): Phil Shaw.
Last 5 games (lady): Betty McGrath.
Lowest score: P. McDonnell, Rita Gaffney (tie).
RAFFLE: P. Gilsenan, C. Doherty, D. Neville.
Thanks to Mary & Kathleen who looked after the catering and to all who supported same.
JOE BRAY MEMORIAL LEAGUES.
Two rounds of the above competition have now been held. The winners of Week 1 were Watty Kenny, Ml. Scally & M. Carter with a great score of + 28.
Week 2 winners were L. Buckley, Martin Carroll & Paul Isdell.
Week 3 takes place on Sat next 1st. March @ 12. 30.
WINTER ALLIANCE.
The above competition was held in Collinstown on Sun last 16th. We had some winners in our club i.e. Mary & Martin Carroll won the mixed section & Ml. Scally & Mark Foran won the 36 nett.
NATIONAL CONVENTION.
The above took place in Portlaoise on Sat last 22nd & I shall have a report from same if there is anything exciting to report. Mary Carroll & Moira Nugent were our delegates at same.
