PRO’s Weekly Report – 23rd June 2014
CLUB STROKEPLAY CHAMPIONSHIPS.
On Saturday last we held our club strokeplay championships. The course was in magnificent order. The following is a full list of the winners:
LADIES:

Last 18: Niall Cuffe.
Inter:
Winner: Gary Middleton.
Last 18: Darren Reilly.
Junior:
Winner: Jamie Loran.

Thanks to all who worked on the course in preparation for this competition. Thanks to Des, Martin & Mick Connell who did work on the sprinklers during the week. Thanks to Martin Carter, Competition Sec, for his lovely choice of prizes for same. Thanks to Sean & Colm for their continued work on the course every week. Thanks to the ladies who had a lovely cuppa and cakes after the competition. The only downside of the competition was the very disappointing turn out for same.
WESTMEATH MATCHPLAY CHAMPIONSHIPS.
The above competition was held on the Custume course on Sat & Sun last the 13th & 14th June. We had two runners-up in same. John McDonald in the Senior grade and Steven Ruane in the Intermediate grade. Well done to all concerned.
BARDON SHIELD
The first round of the above competition took place on Weds evening last the 18th June. There were 8 teams of 3 taking part in same. The second round will continue on Weds next the 25th.
QUALIFIERS FOR NATIONAL STROKEPLAY.
The above will take place in Kilbeggan on Sunday next the 29th June. A number of our club members will be competing in same and we wish each one of them the best of luck. It is also the 6th trial for the Gents inter county team.
