PRO’s Weekly Report – 23rd December 2013

 

WHIST RESULTS.

We held our Christmas Whist on Monday night last the 16th. We had a nice crowd at same (9 tables).  The following is a list of the prizewinners:

2nd Gent:   Pat Davis.
1st Lady:   Mary McCormack.
Highest hald (gent):   Steven Bray.
Highest half (lady):   Maura Carty.
Last 5 games (gent):   Patsy McDonnell.
Lowest Score (lady):   Betty McGrath & Rita Gaffney.
Lowest score (gent):   Val Goldrick.
Sitter:   Ursula King.
RAFFLE:   Ann Davis, Mary Carroll, Ena Clinton, Brian Gibson, Maureen Bartley,  Seamus Bartley, Mgt Fox, Mgt Ward, Pat Davis, Kit Nugent, Mary O’Connor, Rita Gaffney.

The raffle on the night was for the Motor Neuron research and we took in €250  which was wonderful considering the crowd we had. Thanks to all who sponsored prizes for the raffle so generously. Thanks to all who helped out Kathleen, Mary, Alma, & Ena.

We would like to wish all our card players a very happy Christmas and look forward to seeing you all in the New Year (Please God).

TURKEY WINNERS.

The following were winners of Turkeys so far. Kevin Flanagan (2),  Martin Carroll (2),  Paddy Gorman,  Martin Carter, Mark Foran,  Steven Ruane,  Ml. Scally,  Liam Buckley,  Willie Ayres.

There will be the final competition on Sunday next and all voucher winners should be in attendance on Sunday next to receive their vouchers.

CHRISTMAS DRAW.

Our annual Christmas Draw will take place on Sunday night next 22nd in the Lough Lene Inn and all cards and monies should be returned on or before that date.

ALLIANCE.

The first of the Winter Alliances will take place in Collinstown on Sunday 5th January 2014 in Collinstown. Competition starts at 11. 30 am. It will be a 2 person scramble (draw will be made beforehand) and a shotgun start. This will be the only starting time.

SYMPATHY.

We send the deepest sympathy of the club to our esteemed Secretary, Mary Carroll on the death of her mother, Mary Carty, Bohermeen, recently.  Ar dheis lamh de go raibh a anam dilis.
