LEINSTER INTER COUNTIES.

It has been announced that Collinstown will host the 2014 Leinster  Inter Counties so it will be a busy year for the club and we will require plenty of help by our members.

ANNUAL OUTING.

We held our Outing on Sat.last the 9t in Gaeil Colmcille in Kells. I know it was a bit late in the year but it has been such a busy one for the club that it was very difficult to find a free Saturday. Anyway it was better late than never and we were blessed with the day. It was lovely. We had 16 players and a great day’s pitch & putt was had by all. We started with a 3 ball Scramble followed by a Scotch Foursomes followed by one or two rounds of singles, whichever players were able for.

Thanks to the Gaeil Colmcille club for their hospitality. We had soup and tea and sandwiches after the round of Scrambles and it was delicious. Thanks to Marty Reilly and his staff for making us so welcome. We headed to the Headford Arms hotel in Kells where we had a lovely  meal. The prizes were presented after the meal. I am not going to give the names of the prizewinners as they would be too numerous. Thanks to Michael Flynn who  sponsored the prizes for same and they were fabulous. Thanks to Mary who organised the whole affair. To Martin & John who organised the competitions.   Thanks to the staff of the Headford who couldn’t do enough for us and if anyone left hungry it was their own fault.

Ena Clinton, PRO.
